Company Details

The Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) is an autonomous research centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Under the Ministry of Education, Government of INDIA.

Vacancies & Salary Details

IUAC invites applications; for Total vacancies: 3 with 2 types of job categories:

  1. Stenographer: (Group-C, Level-4): 01 Post (UR)
  2. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): (Group-C, Level-1): 01 UR & 01 SC

The Pay scales are as per the 7th Central Pay Commission:

  1. Stenographer: You’ll be in Level-4, with a pay band of ₹25000 – ₹81,000.
  2. MTS: You’ll be in Level-1, with a pay band of ₹18000 – ₹56,900.

And, That’s basic pay! You will also receive Allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) and other benefits.

Educational Qualifications

  • For stenographer:
    • Essential: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with a minimum speed of 80 wpm in shorthand and 40 wpm in typing.
    • Desirable: 3 years experience as Stenographer in University/Govt./Autonomous Body/reputed Pvt. Firm. Experience in computer operating/Data logging. 

  • For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
    • Essential: Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent.
    • Desirable: 10+2 (12th pass) or equivalent and  with knowledge of computer operations. And ability to read and write in English.

  • Stenographer: Maximum 27 years
  • MTS: Maximum 25 years

Roles & Responsibilities

While the exact day-to-day responsibilities will be assigned upon joining, here’s a General Idea.:

  • For stenographer:
    • You’ll be responsible for taking dictations, typing official documents, managing, computer data entry, and providing secretariat support.
  • For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
    • The MTS posts may be utilized as staff car driving, house-keeping, photocopiers, security, office works, attendant work or being a dispatch rider.
